TEMPO.CO, Cilacap – In order to introduce the mangrove forests in Nusakambangan and Segara Anakan, the Martime Ministry will hold the Nusakambangan Festival. Tourists are hoped to be able to familiarize themselves with the mangrove forest in Nusakambangan during the festival.

The five-day festival began today. “There will be a seminar, Segara Anakan tour and mangrove planting activity, hiking, culinary competition and maritime cultural parade as the highlight of the event,” said committee chief Mudji Prihationo yesterday.

All of the activities during the festival is aimed at saving the Segara Anakan and Nusakambangan Island region and maintain its existence.
